This competition is implemented in 03 sections and the National Level School Software Competition is held by Sri Lanka Computer Society while the ‘Creative Teachers’ competition is conducted by the Ministry of Education. The Young Computer Scientists Competition is conducted by Sri Lanka Information Technology Industrial Board.
The students in grades 6 to 11 can apply under the first category of School Software Competition.
Students in grades 12 and 13 can apply under the second category. This is an online competition. In this competition the competitors have to produce computer programs and the evaluations are also done online.
The teachers confirmed in their service and working in government and government approve private schools and also the trainee teachers in the Colleges of Education can apply for the competition ‘Creative Teachers’.

It is possible to register online for this competition through this website or can apply by post addressing to the Director, Information and Communication Technology Branch, the Ministry of Education, Isurupaya, Battaramulla.
